Management Services Organization (MSO) Services

The IPA of Nassau/Suffolk Counties is currently managed by Practice Management of America, Inc. (PMA), a physician-owned and physician-led Management Services Organization (MSO) created in 2015. PMA is dedicated to the notion that the independent community-based physician must be permitted to exist, compete and thrive in the face of rapid changes in the economics of the healthcare industry. PMA- through its services and strategic alliances- will allow physicians to focus on what is most important: taking care of their patients. PMA aims to enable physicians to implement a new CPT code, by providing the right Care at the right Place at the right Time

PMA offers many management and administrative services, including:

  • Revenue Cycle
  • Credentialing
  • Employee Management
  • Consulting Services
  • ...and more!

For more information about PMA, please contact Frank DiMotta at (631) 698-1900.

Discounted Electronic Health Records (EHR) via Health Fusion

Physician members of the IPA of Nassau/Suffolk Counties will have access to discounted EHR through our affiliation with MediTouch/Health Fusion. Health Fusion is a fully-integrated EHR and billing software "developed by physicians to simplify your practice." As the healthcare system continues to get more complicated and smaller physicians become subject to increasing regulations, it is paramount that physicians convert to EHR, and we are happy to make that easier for our members.

Please contact Frank DiMotta at (631) 698-1900 for more information about Health Fusion.

Clinically Integrated Network Membership

When a physician joins IPANS, they become part of a clinically integrated network, which provides many benefits to an independent practice. First, it gives a physician more bargaining power when negotiating with insurance payors. By joining IPANS, a physician is teaming up with over 1700 physicians on Long Island and in Hudson Valley to make sure they are compensated fairly for their services. Second, clinical integration provides increased collaboration between providers, which increases efficiency and reduces ineffective or unnecessary healthcare options. With help from the IPANS Clinical Team, IPANS physicians have proven that this approach works by saving Empire BlueCross BlueShield almost $300,000 via our Shared Savings Program in 2014, which was entirely distributed back to our physicians in 2015. In short, a clinically integrated network is one of the best ways to save costs and reduce inefficiencies while improving the health of the community.
